Sleep Paralysis (2025)
Medium: Acrylic paint screenprinted on acrylic sheets and printmaking paper
Focusing on the space between reality and fantasy, Sleep Paralysis is an interactive, mixed-media installation created in the space of a bedroom. The installation consists of a small space that is lit up using a small red light with household objects, decorations, and furniture placed to give the audience a feeling of stepping into a bedroom. The acrylic sheets hanging from the ceiling are used to represent the demons that people often see when in a state of sleep paralysis. Each demon connects to a specific object to show how normal objects can be perceived as something much more than what they are.
